Training Terms and Conditions

INTRODUCTION

These Training Terms and Conditions govern the purchase, access, participation, assessment, certification, and use of training courses provided by Watchkeeper Operations Limited (“Watchkeeper”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

By purchasing, registering for, or accessing any training course provided by Watchkeeper Operations Limited, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

COURSE REGISTRATION

Course registration is complete only when registration has been accepted by Watchkeeper Operations Limited and any applicable fees have been paid in full.

We reserve the right to refuse, suspend, or cancel registrations where necessary to protect the integrity of our training programmes or where these Terms have been breached.

COURSE ACCESS

Unless otherwise stated, courses are delivered online through a designated learning platform.

  • Course access is provided solely to the registered participant.
  • Course access must not be shared with any other individual.
  • Course access may not be transferred without our prior written agreement.
  • Course access may be subject to time-limited access periods specified at the point of purchase.

Participants are responsible for ensuring they have suitable internet access and equipment to complete the course.

PARTICIPANT RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participants are responsible for providing accurate registration information.
  • Participants are responsible for maintaining the security of their login credentials.
  • Participants are responsible for completing training and assessments honestly and independently.
  • Participants are responsible for complying with all course instructions and requirements.

Watchkeeper Operations Limited reserves the right to investigate suspected misconduct, including plagiarism, assessment fraud, credential sharing, or other actions that compromise course integrity.

ASSESSMENTS

Where assessments form part of a course, participants must complete assessments independently unless otherwise stated.

  • Assessment pass marks will be specified within the course materials.
  • Participants may be permitted additional attempts where stated in the course requirements.
  • Assessment outcomes are final unless an administrative error is identified.

Watchkeeper Operations Limited reserves the right to invalidate assessment results where misconduct is suspected.

CERTIFICATION

Where certification is offered, certificates will only be issued upon successful completion of all required course elements.

  • Certification may be subject to validity periods.
  • Certification does not guarantee employment, assignment opportunities, accreditation by third parties, or professional recognition by any external organisation.
  • Certificates remain the property of Watchkeeper Operations Limited and may be revoked where issued in error or obtained through misconduct.

  

CERTIFICATION VALIDITY AND RENEWAL

Where a certification includes a validity period, the validity period will be specified within the course documentation.

  • Participants are responsible for maintaining awareness of certification expiry dates.
  • Renewal requirements may include reassessment, refresher training, or both.
  • Expired certifications must not be represented as current or valid.

  

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All course materials remain the intellectual property of Watchkeeper Operations Limited unless otherwise stated.

This includes training content, videos, presentations, assessments, learning materials, downloads, certification frameworks, and supporting documents.

  • Participants may use course materials for their own personal learning and professional development.
  • Participants may not copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, sell, licence, modify, or share course materials.
  • Participants may not upload course materials to third-party platforms.
  • Participants may not use course content to create competing training products.
  • Unauthorised use may result in legal action.

  

FEES AND PAYMENT

  • All fees are payable in the currency specified at the point of purchase.
  • Course access may be withheld until payment has been received in full.
  • Unless otherwise stated, fees are non-transferable.
  • Unless otherwise stated, fees are non-refundable except as set out in these Terms or where required by law.

  

CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS

Consumer Purchases

Where applicable consumer protection legislation applies, participants may have statutory cancellation rights.

Where immediate access to digital course content has been provided and the participant has expressly agreed to receive such content during the cancellation period, statutory cancellation rights may be reduced or extinguished as permitted by law.

Business Purchases

Course purchases made on behalf of businesses, organisations, or employers are generally non-refundable unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Exceptional Circumstances

Refund requests arising from exceptional circumstances may be considered at our discretion but are not guaranteed.

COURSE CHANGES

  • We reserve the right to update course content.
  • We reserve the right to modify assessments.
  • We reserve the right to improve learning materials.
  • We reserve the right to replace or update instructors.
  • We reserve the right to amend course structures where necessary.
  • Such changes will not normally affect the validity of certifications already issued.

  

SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to a course without refund where a participant breaches these Terms and Conditions.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to a course without refund where a participant shares course access credentials.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to a course without refund where a participant copies or distributes course materials without permission.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to a course without refund where a participant engages in assessment misconduct.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to a course without refund where a participant acts in a manner that compromises the integrity of the training programme.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

  • Training courses are provided for educational purposes only.

  

While Watchkeeper Operations Limited seeks to provide accurate and professionally developed training, we do not guarantee that participation in a course will eliminate risk.

  • We do not guarantee that participation in a course will prevent incidents.
  • We do not guarantee that participation in a course will guarantee operational outcomes.
  • We do not guarantee that participation in a course will guarantee employment opportunities.
  • We do not guarantee that participation in a course will guarantee certification by third parties.

  

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Watchkeeper Operations Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic loss arising from participation in a training programme.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

PROFESSIONAL DISCLAIMER

Training content is intended to support professional development and informed decision-making.

Participants remain responsible for applying professional judgement appropriate to their circumstances, environment, organisation, and legal obligations.

Training content should not be relied upon as legal, medical, or operational advice for a specific situation.

CERTIFICATION STATUS AND USE OF DESIGNATIONS

Individuals who successfully complete the Certified News Media Safety Advisor (CNMSA) programme may use the designation CNMSA while their certification remains valid.

  • The designation may only be used by individuals holding a current, valid certification.
  • The designation must not be used after certification expiry, suspension, or revocation.
  • The designation does not represent membership of a professional body.
  • The designation does not constitute regulatory approval, licensing, or accreditation.
  • The designation does not guarantee competence, employment, deployment opportunities, or acceptance by any third party.

  

Watchkeeper Operations Limited reserves the right to withdraw permission to use the designation where certification requirements are no longer met.
